Advisement - Waitlist Request Form

Waitlist Policy
If there is more than 1 section offered for a particular course. Only the FIRST Waitlist form submitted will be accepted. You may not Waitlist for more than one section of a class.

  • Until the last Friday before classes start, pre-requisite overrides will be granted ONLY to those students with the Georgia State University equivalent pre-requisite courses. This ensures that Biology Majors that have the proper prerequisites are allowed to register for the course.  All pre-requisite overrides will be honored for POST-BACC students on the last Friday before registration.

  • Waitlists will only be utilized when a sufficient demand for the course has been shown. Since students have a tendency to change their courses multiple times a waitlist will not go into effect until there are 8 or more students waiting for a course. If a course remains unmarked (no * present) then it is still first come, first serve through GoSolar. If a department error is received when registering, the course is most likely on a waitlist.

  • Once notified a student has 24 hours to register for the course. If a student still has problems registering for a course they need to notify Kathy Rockwell within the 24 hour time frame (either through email or voicemail). Otherwise students will be removed from the waitlist. They may add themselves back to the waitlist by resubmitting a waitlist form.

NOTE: Please complete all fields accurately. The course number and CRN must match. Incomplete forms wth inaccurate information will be discarded without consideration.
