Brain Awareness

March is Brain Awareness Month. Each year, the Atlanta Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience spreads the word about Brain Research to schools and the public. We host visits to Atlanta area elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools by neuroscientists, reaching thousands of students. If you are interested in a school visit, sign up your class using the online form here.

If you are interested in volunteering for classroom visits as a neuroscientist volunteer, fill out the online form here.

The Atlanta-based Center for Behavioral Neuroscience also sponsors an annual Brains Rule! Neuroscience Exposition. In partnership with Zoo Atlanta, CBN reaches thousands during the spring Exposition, the largest public education event of its type in the country.

We have many resources available for teachers and volunteers to communicate information about the brain to K-12 students, click on the "Resources" link to the left.
